This is my friend Rachel Goldberg’s work http://thanatoscouture.com/
(reblogging so that it has her url at least in the notes…)
I said this to muffliatos a few weeks ago but I feel the need to say it again now.
After watching X-Men: First Class not just once, but twice, it wasn’t the just the bromance that caught my attention, though sure that was nice too, instead I loved the strong theme of mutants struggling for acceptance in society and even more so the struggle to accept yourself because I found myself able to relate to some degree. I feel like tumblr is its own little mutant society where we are all like;
“You’re asexual? You’re transgendered? You love jam? You paint with your toes? That is so cool bro, hi-5!” and we just carry on being one big chummy family regardless.
I’ve been meaning to make a post about this for a while. All those little quirks that I have that I figured were just another thing that makes me weird are shared by so many. The “me gusta” meme, rage comics, all that stuff … it shows me we’re more alike than I realised.
